Papeete, March 30th 2011 – ISI.PF, the first software company in Tahiti to develop applications on iPhone, Android and iPad, is announcing the new version of “Tahiti by local photographers ”. The iPad version is available today, while the iPhone version is scheduled for release on April 15th 2011.
This is a free travel & photography app for all iPad, iPhone or iPod touch owners and aim to present Tahiti and its beautiful islands through the contribution from local and talented photographers.A first version was made available at the end of July 2010 (on iPad only) and has been quite successful : during the first week of availability, the application ranked as the most popular travel app on Apple App Store Japan, as well as in the top 10 in several other countries App Store.
As of today, the application has been downloaded more than 13000 times and has been accessed from 110 countries or territories around the globe.
This new version 2 is showcasing the woork of some new contributors : Marie-Hélène Villierme, author of several books and photo books about French Polynesia, Matareva Photo group, author of the impressive “Heiva i Tahiti 2010” magazine and Virginie Tetoofa, a young and talented movie director who received international recognition for her short film “E arioi vahine”.
The app will improve along the year with new features and new added photos from either current or new photographers.
ISI.PF is an software vendor and service company located in Tahiti, French Polynesia. The company was founded in May 2008 by two (2) young Polynesians coming back from their experience outside of the territory. Today, the company develops specific software for businesses and local administrations as well as mobile apps on Apple iOS and Google Android platforms.
